Bakgrund.
Forsbergs skola fick i uppgift av ESA (European Space Agency) att skapa ett konstverk till containern av en viktig teknisk modul som ska fraktas från Bremen till NASA i USA. Modulen är vital för nästa månlandning, även kallat Artemis-projektet. Då detta projekt syftar till att återigen åka till månen, förväntas frakten blir uppmärksammad från såväl europeisk som amerikansk media. Vårt konstverk valdes som en av tre finalister från skolan och är nu skickat till ESA.
Lösning.
With our artwork we want to highlight how ten countries have collaborated to create something extraordinary together. Something that could be seen as the heart of the spacecraft: a module that is extremely vital in the process of traveling to the moon. That is why our artwork represents an anatomic heart, made by ten pieces, one as important as the other. Cause when we’re going to space, we want to remind ourselves that partnership is essential. And that we are more than just modules and machines. We are humans.
CONCEPT
Space is complicated. To understand it, we need advanced technology, great curiosity and science from today – for tomorrow. We also need national collaboration. Partnership and people. We need hope and heart. So that when we reach space, we remember that we are more than machines. We are humans.
